Premium white poplar veneer, also known as premium flat cut poplar wood veneer or premium flat cut tulip poplar veneer, is typically a creamy light grey or beige to a very pale greenish yellow toned color that deepens with age. It is available in 4′ x 8′ sheets in FlexVen™ 10 and FlexVen™ 20 paper backed sheets with a PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive) option. White Poplar wood veneer is also available in a 4′ x 10′ size and with the Tuf-Pli™ polyback and Pli-Flex™ wood on wood backer options as special order.
It is usually book matched with the grain running along the 8’ dimension. Premium grade poplar wood veneer is known for its clear grain and generally has very little to no pin knots or mineral streaks. Poplar is a hardwood that is easy to work with and strong, with a satiny texture and tight uniform grain. White poplar wood veneer will accept stains and finishes well and is often stained to mimic other species.
