Cabinet grade African mahogany veneer pinkish brown to reddish brown medium grain wood. It is available only in 4′ x 8′ as FlexVen™ 10 paper backed veneer.
It is usually, but not always, book matched with the grain running along the 8’ dimension. Cabinet grade African mahogany wood veneer is a lower B grade and typically has defects such as pin knots and worm holes. This grade of mahogany wood veneer is usually used in areas of less visibility where wood veneer is still needed. Ideal situations are cabinet interiors, backs of doors, shelving and many others. Af. mahogany cabinet grade wood veneer is an African hardwood of medium density that is easy to work with and strong, with a moderately coarse texture, slightly porous grain and consistent color. Another common grain characteristic with this type of grade is its irregularity. African mahogany wood veneer will accept stains and finishes well but is most often finished with a clear coat that preserves the warmth and accentuates the color and beauty of the wood’s natural grain.
