Douglas Fir Veneer

Douglas fir veneer is typically a pale yellow to a reddish golden light brown color. It comes almost exclusively in quarter or rift cut to produce a tight vertical grain and mild pinstripe contrast. Douglas fir is a very common softwood of medium density, easy to work with, very strong, and has a smooth soft texture. Alternating early and latewood creates the pinstripe pattern. It accepts stains and finished well.

WiseWood’s douglas fir veneer products include flexible sheets and edge banding. The veneer sheets come available in multiple sizes and backer options, including 3M™ PSA. The edge banding comes unfinished and is available in pre-glued and fleeceback options.
