Makore Veneer

Makore veneer is a deep pinkish-brown to a darker red-brown color. It is an African hardwood of medium density that has occasional light silica inclusions. This veneer is fine to medium texture with tight pores and lustrous grain. It accepts stains and finishes well but is usually finished with a clear coat that preserves the warm luminescent beauty of the wood. The block mottled variety is high figured and striking in appearance.
